“Better than 90 percent of the energy output of the brain is used in relating the physical body in its gravitational field. The more mechanically distorted a person is, the less energy available for thinking, metabolism and healing.” -Roger Sperry (Noble Prize recipient for brain research)
Thai Yoga Bodywork
60 or 90 Minute Body Work (Thai Bodywork and/or Myofascial Release with Alex)
Pricing: $90 for a 60 minute session or $130 for a 90 minute session
Thai Bodywork’ is a traditional therapy combining acupressure and assisted yoga postures. Said to be thousands of years old. It’s rooted in Ayurvedic (Indian alternative medicine) principles and is part of Thailand’s medical system in treating both on the emotional and physical level.
Traditional Thai Bodywork uses no oils or lotions. The recipient remains clothed during a treatment. There is constant body contact between the giver and receiver, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked. The recipient wears loose, comfortable clothing and lies on a mat or firm mattress on the floor.
Myofascial release methods are more of a constant massage and pressure that releases tightness and pain throughout the myofascial tissues. First, trigger points, or knots, are to be located in the tissues. Then pressure is to be applied to release tension.

Alex is a beautiful guide. I highly recommended connecting with him if you are seeking a transformative experience, even if you are only in Milwaukee for a day! He has quite an inspiring wellness space which I found to be thoughtfully designed, healing and fun. If I lived in Milwaukee I would most definitely make PPT part of my health Maintenance routine.
Be sure to warm up with some red light therapy and most definitely a hop into the cold plunge.
